The Little Scroll and the Lion

See comments
(This chapter contains the familiar vision of a little scroll together with a roaring lion and predicts the modern media. Their power and destructive effects are crucial to end our age.)
Then I saw another mighty angel coming down from heaven. He was surrounded by a cloud, (Cloud is a mixture of elements: "
air" meaning thinking and "
water" meaning emotions.)
with a rainbow (Rainbow is a mixture of elements: the sun symbolizing the element of "
fire" meaning violence, destruction, "air" as above and "water" meaning emotions, see
4:3.)
round his head; (Head is the symbol for the intellectual background.)
his face (Face symbolizes the outer appearance.)
was like the sun, (Again the sun symbolizes "fire": violence as one of the main features in modern media: e.g. films and computer games.)
and his legs (Legs symbolize the base and foundation.)
were like pillars of fire. (Again the destructive tendencies of modern media are emphasized.)
(2) He was holding a little scroll (The scroll symbolizing the media)
open in his hand. He put his right foot on the sea (The sea stands for the element of "
water" meaning emotions. One of the foundations of the media is their appeal to people's emotions.)
and his left foot on the land, (Land stands for the element of "
earth" meaning money. Another foundation of the media is business.)
(3) and he shouted in a loud voice like the roar of a lion.
(The
lion reminds of Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer and refers to the Jewish influence on the media.)
After he had shouted the voice of the seven thunders answered. (The seven thunders illustrate the enormous power of the media, which works through occult mechanisms. Seven is the number of Black Magic.)
(4) I was about to write, what the seven thunders had said, (what effect the media have)
but I heard a voice from heaven say, "Seal up what the seven thunders have said and do not write it down." (5) Then the angel I saw standing on the sea and on the land raised his right hand to heaven. (6) And he swore by him who lives for ever and ever, who created the heavens, the earth and the sea and everything in it, and said, "There will be no more delay! (7) But in the days when the seventh angel is about to blow his trumpet (When violence promoted by the media becomes a problem; this also refers to chapter 11, the killing of the "
Two Witnesses", when the seventh angel blows his trumpet in
verse 15 bringing great destruction in verse 13 and 19. This creates a link between the destructive force of the media, the "Two Witnesses" and a general disaster.)
God will have accomplished his secret plan, (The end of the world as we know it will come and a new world will be created.)
just as he announced to his servants the prophets." (giving us the opportunity to read it here.)
(8)Then the voice that I had heard from heaven spoke to me again, "Go, take the open scroll that lies in the hand of the angel who is standing on the sea and on the land." (9) So I went to the angel and asked him to give me the little scroll. He said to me, "Take it and eat it. (try and feel what the media do to you)
It will turn your stomach sour, but in your mouth it will be sweet as honey." (The modern media e.g. violent films and computer games are pleasant to enjoy, but they have unpleasant aftereffects: they promote ruthless thinking and violent behaviour.)
(10) I took the little scroll from the angel's hand and ate it. It tasted sweet as honey in my mouth, (Enjoying the media is good fun.)
but after I had eaten it, my stomach turned sour. (The media do damage to the way of thinking of the people after enjoying them, see
16:13.)
(11) Then I was told, "You must make more prediction about many races, nations, languages and kings." (The following chapters describe specific events of history and politics.)
