Chapter 8

The lingering silence was broken with the entrance of Lost and Cloven, the female ravenetter laying Masons on the cold stone floor.

"What are these five wells doing up here? Yavie questioned innocently. Within the attic of Fallen Manor lay five wells. None obviously connected to an open water source yet all five contained water.

"They have always been here. My mother protected them until she married my father and now it is my duty to protect them. If I were to get married, the job should have gone to Ayla.." Her blue hues gave a soft glance to the sleeping girl before she continued. "But it is difficult being born an angel in a family of demons. Ah, but the wells, from left to right, are truth, past, fortune, future, and souls."

The group sat silent as the took inthe information but Koen was the first to speak up after, seeing as he seemed to process the information a tiny bit faster. That's when his eyes shot open in a sudden realization. "...An angel born amongst demons? Ayla is born of this world, not Earth?"

"Yes, genius. Ayla is my younger sister, but shes Cloven and Masons's triplet. Masons being oldest, then Cloven, those two identical twins, then little Ayla.." Lost looked back to the group and took in a deep breath. "Any ideas of where your journey is about to take you?"

The group exchanged glances before Teshyra spoke up. "To the underworld."

Lost nodded. "Buuut... The decision now is, who will go? That Dragon and Masons absolutely have to go." She pointed to Koen. "Priestess and Child must stay here." She then pointed to Teshyra and Linesse. "So that leaves only that Dragon, the Wolf and the Princess." She looked to Maeglin, Mateo and Yavie.

"I'll go." Maeglin offered, but was inturrputed by Yavie. "What purpose would you serve to help her?"

Maeglin looked to the small brunette with a curious gaze. Yavie turned her back to the ravenette, the shirt she was wearing easily showed the skin between her shoulder blades where there was a tattoo of a swordtip driving into a blooming blood red rose. "Where she is going, she will need this." This was the first time that Mateo had every seen the marking that made the princess's life so valuable.

"Alright, sooo... The brunette dragon, Masons and the princess." Lost clasped her hands together as she nodded. "So, the journey to the underworld will be one of a painless event, but I do need you to lay on the floor. All you need to do from there is close your eyes and relax." As the three did as she asked, the ravenette took a moment to relax as she shut her own eyes. //Sebasian... I need you here, now.//

Within a room on the second floor of the manor, sat a tall man with fairly tanned skin. The room itself had wooden floors and plain walls, and had only a bed large enough to fit him, which was tucked away in the corner. There was also a very large floor to ceiling window on the west wall. The man lifted his head from where he was sitting in the center of the room. His face was very angular and smooth, save for the little bit of a gotee he fashioned, and he had the most soft light brown eyes. He pulled the hood on his cloak over his head as he rose to a slow stand. //Coming...// A sigh fell from his lips as he vanished, only to appear as a shadow, standing five inches taller then Lost, whom stood second tallest in the family at five feet, ten inches.

"You called?" His voice was deep. but had so sort of delicateness to it. Lost jumped a little, her younger sibling seemed like a ghost sometimes.

"You're a Virin..." Teshyra spoke up as her pale gree eyes looked to the tanned boy. He made a soft glance to the woman.

"Yes, and you are a Serrim, but please I am not the evil you already have judge me to be. I am here because my sister has summoned me and for the same reason you are here. The larucah needs our help." Sebasian soon turned his attention back to his sister. Lost was shocked and the emotion was apparent on her face.

"That's the most he's said in three weeks..." Lost shook her head as Sebasian moved over to the well and as his two fingers touched the cold cobble stone, the water in the well turned a vibrant blue.

"Everything is ready." Those brown eyes looked to the group. Teshyra nodded and lifted Koen's head into her lap, just like Cloven had Masons's and Linnesse had Yavie's. She placed her fingertips on his temples and her eyes slid closed. A cold wind swept through the room. Koen was the first to open his eyes, everything he saw through those shaded goggles was black, white and shades of blue.

"Wha..." The brunette sat up. Everyone was there. "Hey guys... I don't think anything happened..." Koen grew curious when no one answered and he lifted his hand out to touch Teshyra and his hand passed right through her. "What the...?"

"No one here in this room can here you, well, save for myself." Sebasian spoke to Koen in a tongue Lost, Mateo, or Maeglin could not understand.

"I see..." Koen rose to a stand and glanced down to a very akward sight, his own sleeping body.

"Before you ask, you are in a plane between the material plane and the spiritual world. Not what the church would call limbo, but more like a transitional plane..." He patted the well beside him. "This well will lead you to hell, that is where you will find Ayla."

"So you're telling us to go to hell? That's not very nice of you." A female voice called from the side. Koen tilted his head to find that Yavie was finally awake. He held out a ghostly hand to help the princess to her feet. "This journey will be anything but light hearted and will be even further from easy. It could even lead us to death ourselves..." This voice was lighter then Sebasian's and when Koen glanced to his other side, he found Masons awake and standing behind his brother.

"How can we die when we are already in spirit form?" The draco seemed a bit bothered by Masons statement.

"What the spirit tribe does to get a living person to the spirit world is to separate and project a mind from its body, using their ablitiy to see into the spirit realm as a gateway. This places the ghostly entity into a transistional plane, allowing them to decide which spirit realm they wish to enter. Heaven or hell. But to answer your question, a body cant live without the mind. Now, the entry into hell will not be pleasant. While you descend into the pits of hell, souls will try to pull you into their fate in an attempt to change places. The journey down into purgatory will take you through ante-hell, the place where those who chose not good or evil dwell. All you need do is ignore them. Do not look them in the eye. While souls, they are powerful. This is all the information I can give you for I know not of limbo, but it is where you will find the Larucah." Masons's peered into the well after his brother's long speech and where normally was just water, it was now swarmed with blue orbs which he thought were souls. "So... We just climb in?"

Sebasian glanced back to his older brother. "For the most part, yes. Getting to puratory will be effortless on your part, as long as you ignore the souls in ante-hell. What will happen is you will float down into purgatory. Getting further down into the spiral of hell, that will be the hard part."

Koen moved slowly over to the well and as he glanced in, he looked aprehensive. "Will we encounter any sort of fighting down there?"

The tall Virin blinked for a moment as he thought. "Well seeing as it is Hell, there maybe demons who might attack you... I am not certain. But know that as you are in life, you can be down there, if you will it, you can become fully equipped with YOUR magick or armour and weapons." Koen nodded to the boy's reply and hoisted himself onto a sit upon the stone edge. He held a hand out to Yavie.

"Ladies first." He bantered with the brunette as she took a hold of his hand. She gave him a nice smack on the shoulder as she pulled herself onto the well. It was an odd feeling as the princess dipped her foot into the well. To her surprise it wasn't freezing, but oddly warm. And not wet. Masons was the next to pull himself onto the well.

"I wish to you a safe journey." Sebasian spoke up as the three nodded. Masons was the first to slip into the well. It felt like he was floating. Next was Yavie, last being Koen. Sebasian released the well and his sight dimmed back into colour. He looked to Lost. "They are within the well now."

Lost nodded as she glanced to Mateo and Maeglin. "We must stay alert most of all now. We are their only hope of survival on this plane." The two nodded.

That was until there was a loud thump sound which came from the roof. The draco glanced to the wolf, who gave a quiet reply of a nod. "Ms. Lost, please stay here, Mateo and I will go to investigate." The female ravenette nodded as the two vanished from the room.
