Victor and Leslie. He isn’t as manipulative as his parents, and gets on well with
everyone around him. He is popular and has always been liked. Nate and Kayla,
his cousin, have been friends since they were young. They have always
attended the same schools and had the same friends. Nate is outgoing and
friendly. His family are very important to him and he doesn’t always like tot

History: Season 1: Early on in the season Nate
started getting notes and threatening messages from someone. Nate was freaked
out by these and confided in Kayla about them. She thought that they were
only a joke, but when more started arriving Nate got more worried. But when
Kayla suggested telling his parents, Nate didn’t find them threatening at all
and suddenly they didn’t matter. But then Nate started getting
text messages, which freaked him out even more, despite his denials. He and
Kayla tried to find out who was behind the messages, but they didn’t succeed.
Everything seemed to be going wrong. There was some happiness for Nate, as he
got close to Paris Robertson at Kayla’s New Year’s Eve 2002 party. She was
with him when he got some of the messages. Kayla started pointing the
finger at her longtime rival Paris. Nate tried to stop his cousin, knowing
that it couldn’t be Paris, but in the end Kayla started fighting with Paris.
Nate tried to break up the fight, but instead ended up unconscious. Paris figured out what had
been going on with Nate and the messages. She confronted him and he told her
everything. The two started to grow closer. Towards the end of the season,
Kayla gave him an ultimatum – either he told his parents or she would. A
couple of hours before the deadline Paris discovered who had been sending the
threats. She told Nate who was shocked that Gayle, one of Paris’ friends,
would do such a thing. Later Nate gave Paris a card on Valentine’s Day to
thank her for all her help.
