JUMAAL МАJID CENTER FOR CULTURE AND HERITAGE

The Juma Al Majid Center for Culture and Heritage was established in 1991 as a public, non-profit and welfare, educational institution. It is financed by permanent endowments from its Founder and President, Mr Juma Al Majid.

The Center's goals:

  • to provide public access to Arabic and Islamic thought culture and heritage;
  • to collect and restore cultural media of the Arab-Islamic civilization;
  • to collect Arabic and Islamic manuscripts, whether original, photocopied, microfilm and any electronic formats;
  • to encourage study and research about the United Arab Emirates in particular, and the Gulf Area in general;
  • to cooperate with other cultural institutions and centers within the United Arab Emirates and worldwide in the exchange of knowledge, and to organize symposiums, exhibitions and scientific meetings.

The Center's departments: library and information, manuscripts, national heritage, cultural affairs, studies and research, administrative & financial affairs.
