| Cross Country Skiing and Snowmobile Information: Cross Country Ski and Snowmobile directly from the cabin door. Extend your explorations by using the many groomed trails provided by Washington State Parks. For information and locations see the Washington Parks Winter Sports and Winter Permit pages. Snowmobiling Two snowmobile trails can be reached directly from the cabin including the very popular Kachess Lake Rd trail. Cross Country Skiing For XCountry Skiing, Cabin Creek ski trail is a wonderful flat groomed trail perfect for all ages. The western edge of the trail can be reached by walking to the trail. This approach is free. The other option is to park at the eastern Cabin Creek sno-park which is a short distance north on I-90. Permits To park and ski or snowmobile from a sno-park you will need both a sno-park permit and a groomed trail permit. In the past, permits were available for purchase at REI, Olympic sports and the Snoqualmie Pass visitor center. Both permits are also required at Lake Easton State Park and Hyak sno-parks. SNOQUALMIE PASS-AREA SNO-PARKS Cabin Creek, 10 miles east of summit at Exit 63. Crystal Springs, eight miles east of the summit at Exit 62. Gold Creek, one mile north of Hyak, north of Exit 54. Kachess Lake Road, 3.5 miles north of Exit 62 on Kachess Lake Road. Lake Easton State Park, Exit 70 near the boat launch. Hyak, south of Exit 54. Price Creek Eastbound, seven miles east of summit at Exit 61. Price Creek Westbound, seven miles east of summit, milepost 60. |
