Egypt�s culture is among the oldest cultures in the world. It has approximately five thousand years of history .Ancient Egypt was one of the earliest civilizations that maintained a long-standing culture that greatly impacted other cultures in Europe, Africa, and the Middle East This nation also came under the influence Hellenism, Greek culture, Christianity, and later Islam. Currently, Egypt�s past cultures intertwine with new foundations such as the impact of the Western society which also contains roots headed back to ancient Egypt.
Holidays
Holidays in Egypt have many categories.. There are a set of national holidays celebrated by the entire population. The Islamic holidays are observed by all Egyptians since Islam is the official religion of Egypt. Christian holidays are not national holidays but they are allowed to be observed  by the Christian families living there.
The holidays listed below are celebrated across the country, with the government offices and ministries closed. These holidays are either national secular holidays or important religious holidays.

January Christmas: (Old Calendarists) Celebrates the nativity of Jesus Christ, according to the Oriental Coptic Orthodox Church (Old calendarist)

April 25 Sinai Liberation Day: Celebrates the withdrawal of Israeli troops from the Sinai peninsula
