The Santa Fe Chapter of EGA is involved with many Community Outreach programs. Time to think about school supplies. Please bring them to the AUGUST meeting as I will not be at the July meeting. Thanks for all your help, Lin. Habitat for Humanity - The Habitat Samplers are wonderful, and I enjoy seeing how each one is creatively completed. There are still two names on my list that have not been taken by our Guild Members. I know each of the families involved feel very special when something handmade is delivered to them, beautifully created by our Guild. So if you have not had an opportunity to make a sampler, please let me know and I will see that you have a name and a pattern. Thanks for all of you who have already contributed, some more than once! Contact Barbara Campbell ([email protected]) for more information. Linus Project - Keep up with the blankets. If you need yarn please let Lin know, she has a lot Don't forget to save the Best Choice bar codes from all Best Choice products. Linus gets $15.00/1000 labels, which they put toward their expenses. Mountain Mist also redeems their bags for more stuffing, so if any of you are using that, bring the bags to me. We are also collecting Best Choice labels for Linus. They redeem these for money which they use to buy supplies Heart to Heart - Thank you for all the personal items for Heart to Heart. I have taken 7 large bags in to them this last week alone. Currently, they are having a hard time keeping up with all the supplies they need for the personal care packets they distribute. So, please keep those donations coming! Heart to Heart is so appreciative of our help! Books for Johnson County inmates - Please bring any books you have read andd don't need anymore. Amy will get them to the inmates. Support our Troops - We will be filling boxes for our very own special serviceman and his platoon this fall. Please refer to e-mails and notices in the newsletters for suitable articles to send. Let's show these young men how much we support and appreciate what they are doing for their country. Here is a list of things for the
boxes:
Navaho Project - We have someone who has committed to deliver any scraps of fabric, fat quarters, quilting thread, floss or any other sewing needs. Extra portable sewing machine if you wish to share. I will plan to be at the April meeting or I would be willing to pick up the gifts at your home. Thank you for your support. Linda Happ |
