In fact, he entered in the nick of time to perform at a scheduled Chelsea gig that had been made with the assumption that the bassist we had been trying out at the time would perform it (JOSE LUIS was his name and he flaked out at the last minute). So in comes Jacob learning over 40 songs in a little over a week's time. And so the saga continued with performances at Rods and Wheels, Papa's Cantina. However, it was to be short lived due to personal issues causing Jacob to have to quit the band leaving the trio a duo once more. But as luck would have it a week before Jacob's quitting a call received by another fellow bassist named Rene who had happened to see an old flyer the band had put out after Javier had left. Unfortunately at the time Jacob had given no hint as to what was to happen a week later and Rene was told that the positioned had already been filled for some time. Luckily, thank goodness for caller-id, our duo called him back and asked if he was still interested...and he was. So wishing Jacob the best in resolving what he needed to resolve, the saga continues now with Rene Duran as the new bassist / vocalist for ZEN. (Continued...)
