aka
Uncle Bill
(
along with his ever-talented wife and sidekick - Auntie Sharon)
Bill Welsh, who is also El Paso's original one-man band, has been performing and pleasing audiences since 1970.  He has played many local establishments as well as across the Southwest area all the way to Memphis, Tennessee, and Gainsville, Florida.  His vast repertoire of songs has something to please every patron whether they like country, oldies, jazz, or folk music.  By using a custom made pick-up system and digital drum machine, he can play soft dinner music also.  Since 1972, he has performed in numerous restaurants and lounges from Lubbock, TX to Tuscon, AZ.  From Ardmore, OK to El Paso, Uncle Bill has been pleasing audiences.  When not playing solo or running sound with his Oprah-book-club-loving wife, he plays with his band, The Last Chance Band.
Bill Welsh and Sharon Welsh are the masterminds behind the great sound for many of El Paso's local bands (including ZEN, Pokerface, Thieves of Blues, etc.)  Renting out great sounding PA and providing soundchecks for the bands, they are the true backbone for each of these bands and many more.
