The success of the trainer or sales presenter lies in the person's capability to capture the attention of the audience within the whole duration of the presentation. The presenter should be able to inform, enlighten and persuade the audience to take action. This is a tall order considering that not too many people have long attention span; add to that the fact that audience can only retain so much in their short-term memory bank. In order to succeed, presenters, whether they are trainers or sales people, need to understand the audience and the dynamics of presentation, learn various techniques and tactics in holding and maintaining audience attention and give the biggest impact to their audience through their presentation.
