The true measure of the team's effectiveness is its ability to bring about positive results and achieve its goals. Effective teams achieve synergy because individual members are capable and committed to pooling their resources and collaborate to achieve success. Behind every team's success is a Team Leader who has the ability to inspire the team to focus on realizing a vision, provide a clear road map that guides the members in getting from here to there. Although it is wrong to assume that the team leader is more important than the other members of the team (That is exactly the opposite) The leader's ability can make or break even a potentially successful team. This is why it is important to ensure that leaders, are properly equipped to take on such a serious responsibility.
It is also important to note that Leadership is a lot different from "bossmanship". While the word boss is easily affiliated with terms like, commanding, ordering and penalizing, leadership connotes guiding, facilitating inspiring and coaching. In traditional organization, bosses act as the brain, the person in power of making every part of the body work hence, other members are reduced to doers or takers of orders. In a team environment, the leader recognizes that other members are as capable of bringing in good, perhaps even better ideas and is capable of harnessing the power of the entire team to bring about positive results. The goal of this workshop is to help team leaders transition from the conventional "boss" mindset to leaders who are capable of guiding and inspiring the team to achieve their goals. This workshop also aims to equip participants who haven't transitioned from being a doer to being a leader.
