"Sounds of the Tribe" is an interactive website and its purpose is to provide the following information on:
- the drummer Martin Gibson
- the services and tutoring Sounds of the Tribe provides
- drums in general
The website was formed in November 2005 and the organisation "The Drum Lab" which has been in operation since 2003 was renamed in September 2005 to "Sounds of the Tribe". The ideology of the website is instigated by the fact that drums are a musical instrument and not a time keeper (although time is very important). Hopefully this philosophy which has driven "Sounds of the Tribe" will continue in the future and bring together drummers in the local community of the Northern Beaches to bring about collaborative learning and to share a comman passion and goal in music.
