Statement

As Division VII Director Elect, I will work to improve IEEE-PES relationship in order to enhance the benefits offered to our membership by giving high importance to PES activities.

Based on my experience in many IEEE and PES committees/positions during many years, where I have been able to connect directly with our members, listen to their needs and expectations, I consider myself well qualified to carry out PES initiatives and goals intended to improve the service to our membership.

PES has established goals to reach out for new and emerging technologies and also to expand our coverage to a real global participation. Furthermore, I believe that the future of humanity relies on the proper use of our resources and PES, as one of the major providers of technical information in Power & Energy, and has to lead the way to achieve a better future.

I totally concur with this vision and, with our members’ support, I would like to have the opportunity to work on and promote these initiatives representing PES at the IEEE board level.
