The Berkeley kendo dojo was founded in 1995 with the purpose of spreading the teaching of kendo into the Berkeley community, particularly the large student demographic from the nearby University of California. The dojo has since attracted college students, residents, children, visiting sensei from Japan and Korea, and members of other dojos.

    

Days: Tuesdays and Thursdays (Please e-mail us to insure that class is happening that day)
Time: Practices begin promptly at 7:00pm and end before 9:00pm (Please come several minutes earlier so that we may answer any questions that you might have)
Where: Presbyterian Church 1940 Virginia St at Milvia St.
Tuesday practices consist of conditioning, waza, and keiko.
Thursday practices consist of at least a half an hour of kata, conditioning, waza, and keiko.
