- The Rule of the commissioners is final, including goals and statistical disputes.
- Each game begins with a faceoff.
- Play may not resume (after any stoppage) until all active players are cognizant (aware) of the play.
- A Goalie may freeze the puck anywhere as long as he has prolonged and covered possession of it.
- After a freezing of the puck, the area behind the net is 'safe' from the opposing team.
- After a goal, the scored upon team gets the puck and the other team may not cross the red line until a player of the scored upon team does or the puck does.
- No high sticks are tolerated. Any play involving a high stick results in the puck being given to the opposite team. If injury results, that player may be suspended.
- Regarding slap shots: They are permitted, but the stick must NOT raise above one's waist in the wind up. Any judgment of a questionable shot/goal shall err on the side of no goal and result in the puck being given to the opposing team. As such, be cautious with stick elevation and stick to �snap� style shots.
- Games are played until one team reaches a total of five goals. However, games must be won by two goals.
- Shootouts occur if teams tie at 5 or any number thereafter.
- Shootouts shall adopt NHL style rules (three shooters, after that, sudden death).
- Reasonable physical contact is allowed. Obviously there must be no intent to injure. Only players who possess the puck may be engaged physically. Hooking, slashing, spearing, and any form of over zealous roughing will not be tolerated.
- If the ball hits the overhead basketball nets, the play is dead and the puck goes to the team that is not responsible for said contact.
