| Dunfermline Colts 15 - Highland - 13 22.10.05
With poor conditions the match was mostly a forwards game this suited Highland because of there big mobile pack. The game started off with early Highland pressure and then Dunfermline giving away a penalty to give Highland an easy 3 points. The colts struck back 10 minutes later with a nice backs move to see Jonny Smart go in under the posts, Stevie McColl then converted. The second half saw Highland cross the line for two trys to take the lead. The Colts needed to score and looked to substitute winger James Lawrie who made an excellent break and dived in at he left hand corner to seal a game that the Colts didn't really deserve to win. The Colts are now heading to the nationals after the win today but we will need to play an awful lot better next week away to Perth who will be out for revenge. Jonny Smart |
