| RAYMOND POLLARD WINS DPTL POETRY CONTEST Raymond Pollard, of Sharon Hill, was the winner of Darby Township Public Library's first Black History Month Poetry Contest. Entrants had to create a poem about a notable African-American; Pollard based his on the life of poet, author and performer Maya Angelou. He received $50 for winning the contest, as well as a plaque commemorating his achievement. His winning poem is on display at the library. |
