Physical Attributes
At 6 8 230 lbs, you tend to notice Yannick right away.  He has a big body with some muscle definition to his upper body.  At this point though, he probably has more fat than muscle.  He runs the floor well for his size, better than you would initially think when you first see him.  He is fairly quick for a big man, but cant elevate all that well.

Low Post Offense
Yannick does a good job of getting himself open in the post.  He is able to use his big frame well to seal off the defender.  He is effective at using his quickness to get himself by his man and in for lay-ups.  The main problem with his low post game is that he has some difficulty if he cant get right to the hoop.  He showed no hook shots or fade away shots.  When he did turn around in the post and face the basket, he would try to shoot in a manner similar to his jump shot.  Because he wasnt able to protect the ball in that position, he had one shot blocked by the defender in the NJ TOC finals.  He also seemed to have difficulty knowing where he was in relation to the basket after posting up, particularly in the TOC.  He threw up two air balls during the final game because of that issue.

Scoring
Yannick showed the ability to score in several ways.  He can score near the basket and knock down jumpers.  However, most of his scoring comes off of lay-ups in transition and via good passes from playing with exceptional guards both at St. Pats and with the Roadrunners.  He does cut to the hoop effectively in the half court offense.  Formbor has some scoring ability, but he also clearly benefited from having good players around him.  Because he relies on his teammates, he typically isnt going to fill up the stat sheet with scoring.

Rebounding
Despite his imposing physical presence, Yannick appeared to be an average rebounder at best.  He was effective on the boards against smaller players, but really struggled against men his own size.  He is often out of position and isnt aggressive enough.  He lets the ball come to him rather than going up and attacking it.  He is also hurt by the fact that he doesnt jump very well.

Defense
Yannick is an adequate defender, but could use some work in that area too.  Much like with his rebounding, he is often out of position defensively.  Because of his size and quickness, he is not easy to score around.  However, he is somewhat easy to score over because of his lack of shot blocking ability.  In the first three games that I saw him play, he fouled out due to a combination of things.  First, he was out of position some instances.  He also picked up quite a few fouls while playing help defense against quicker guards who were able to get by his teammates.  Yannick did often attempt to draw charges, but more often than not was called for blocking fouls.  There also were some questionable calls made by the officials, particularly against Haddonfield.  In that game, he had no answer for 7 2 All American Brian Zoubek.

Jump Shot

Formbor has a nice jump shot for a big man.  He has a good, smooth stroke.  He showed the ability to hit his shot from about 15 feet and even attempted a three pointer in one game.  He could use more consistency in this area, but is about as good as you can really expect from a high school big man.

Full Court Offense

As mentioned earlier, Yannick runs the court well and is able to capitalize with lay-ups.  This was particularly evident in his high school games where his teammates were more familiar with his game.  There were a few times with the Roadrunners that he was the first one down the court and open, but the guards werent able to spot him.
