Passing
Even when he struggled in the NJ TOC games, Yannicks passing skills stood out.  He is most effective passing to cutters from the three point area.  St. Pats halfcourt offense revolves around working for layups, so you can see why he passes in that manner so effectively.  He is also a solid passer out of the low post area.  Im not sure how well he can pass out of a double team because he isnt dominant enough to warrant a double team.

Ball Handling/Hands

Yannicks is probably an above average ball handler for a man of his size.  He can beat his man off the dribble, but dont count on him using that as a weapon consistently.  At times he showed good hands and other times he struggled in this area.  He fumbled around quite a few passes.  Some of that might have been not being ready for the ball.  He did display a nice soft touch around the basket.

Positioning
As previously mentioned, he struggled with positioning both in rebounding and defensively.  He also allowed himself to get pushed out of position at times.  He was good at establishing position on the offensive end though.

Effort
Formbor appears to give pretty good effort.  He runs the floor well and hustles up and down the court.  Where Id really like to see him improve, is giving more effort and showing more aggression on the boards.

Consistency
I was very pleased with Yannicks play in the last two games of the Donofrio Classic.  However, I was also bothered by how poorly he played the first three times I saw him.  I would like to see him more consistent from game to game.  He went from looking like a terrible high school player to looking like a legit D1 player within a matter of 5 games.

Overall Analysis
After seeing Formbor play five times, I feel much better about him than I initially did.  He is a versatile offensive player, although hes not exceptional in any area.  He can become a good inside/outside combination power forward, but he has some work to do to get there.  The system is played in high school is a bit different than what hell see at Drexel.  He was able to take advantage of his speed (when compared to other big men) in transition and the ability of his teammates to find him when it cuts to the basket in half court sets.  At Drexel, hes going to being playing more of a half court oriented offense with less cutting.  He will have to rely more on developing his low post moves, driving by his defender one on one and shooting the jump shot.  Yannick displayed really good passing skills when hes able to look over the defense.  In college, his teammates will cut less and he will mostly be asked to pass out of the low post and around the perimeter.

Due to his body type and quickness, Yannick can be an effective defender, especially if he hits the weights.  He will have to rely on strength and positioning though in the low post to keep his opponent from scoring.  He will never be a game changing defender like Chaz Crawford currently is for Drexel.  He just isnt athletic enough to play that style.

My biggest area of concern with Formbor is his aggressiveness, or rather lack there of.  While he has the body to be physically intimidating, he plays a bit on the soft side.  This especially bothers me when it comes to rebounding.  He can be taught to play a more physical brand of basketball, but I cant see him doing a 180 and becoming a beast in the way that Robert Battle was (even though he has the frame to do it).  I just think Yannick will continue to be more of a finesse player than a physical one at that college level.

For as long as Bruiser Flint has been at Drexel, there has yet to be a true inside/outside combination player at the power forward spot.  That position has been filled with either a wing player such as Tim Whitworth or an interior player such as Chaz.  Jermaine Miller had a very similar body type and perimeter skills as Yannick, but he was never able to develop into a good player in either area.  Yannick has a lot of work to do and probably wont see the court much next year, but hopefully down the road he can become that combo power forward that Drexel could really use.
