RAY'S STUDIO
| The house where my wife and I resided during my expatriation to New Jersey, USA. It is a 19th century George Washington-era home which was subdivided into 5 apartments. Though dated, it was very cosy and we had plenty of good memories living there whether it be entertaining our international friends or snuggling up for an evening movie in winter. |

This was our first home that we bought in Australia. Again, a cosy abode with nice swaying palm trees in the backyard. We lived here for about 1.5 years before deciding that we would like a change of scenery. Currently rented out to a sweet old couple. |
| And a change of scenery we got. Our latest acquisition is a scenic hill slope house overlooking a national park. It comes packaged with kangaroos in the backyard - no kidding! That's what sold us. That and the tranquility, serenity and scenic surrounding bushland. Oh, and the big balcony too, to enjoy the scenery from of course (that's always been my dream). Now we don't have to go far to admire the wildflowers or go hiking.

A sketch I did for my boss at IDC Technologies for his 51st Birthday. We occupied it in September 2006 with renovations taking place throughout 2007. The Porta-Loos will invoke many a good laugh! |
| I was commissioned
to draw a 3-D site map of St. Brigids College where my brother was working at the time.
Armed with a digital camera, a plan of the school and my photographic memory, I circled
the school several times in 2 trips. |

My brother Des'
Astina 323. His first love. This is actually a different colour to his as I had
preferred this colour at the time of rendering the piece. |
| The church that we used to attend
for mass (St. Peter's in Bedford, WA) announced that they wanted to have their very own
banner which was to be displayed during ceremonial masses. The logo as a whole is supposed
to constitute a cross. The top is the chalice and the bread which is the essence of the
Catholic's Sunday celebration. Below that is a fish symbolising St. Peter (he was a
fisherman). Next is a dove to symbolise the Holy Spirit. Finally, below are people in
different coloured robes celebrating the multicultural diversity of the parishioners at
the church. |

This is a logo for a
hypothetical commercial/residential marina project - "Seaville". It was a final
year project that I worked on at University with 2 other colleagues as part of the
Engineering Project Management unit. The "S" represents the wave while the
"I" is a palm tree to give it a seashore/tropical feel. The brown, being the
colour of tree bark, was chosen for the wording to blend in with the whole concept. |
| My other passion in life -
basketball. The above logo was for my younger brother's U-13's basketball team. No,
it is not an ant! It has 8 legs. We wanted an uncommon name rather than the overused ones
such as "Wildcats" or "Tigers" or "Giants". The name had to
be unique, and the logo had to have 'sting', hence the "Arachnids". |

The first cartoon is a family portrait I did when I was 12+. The age of innocence. The actual photograph was taken during the Chinese New Year reunion at my grandparents' home in Kulim, Kedah. Very nostalgic indeed. The next 2 cartoons on the left were commissioned by a dad's
friend to insert into his book of poetry he was working on at the time. Alas, his work was
not completed and the cartoons never published. The 3rd cartoon was from a compilation
based on the Gulf War in 1991.

The above were done during my Fantasy Art phase. Please feel free to comment on any art work above by emailing me (click on
