PHOTOGRAPHY
Introduction
| If you have read my bio, you will realise that traveling is my other passion in life. I have accumulated thousands of interesting photos, albeit most of them were taken with the old-fashioned 35mm cameras. Below are a selection from the digital age which I would like to share. Although these are non-professional photographs, I like to believe there is some artistic essence in them. After all, who is to say what art is? The lighting and colours may not be the best, but what I like about the following photos are their compositions, angles and subjects. Here's my photojournal. |
| These were taken during winter to capture the snow on the ground. Well, you can imagine how the subjects felt....This was done at a secluded park in Morristown, NJ just with my Canon Powershot and a tripod from WalMart. The idea was to differentiate our bridal photos from those taken in the studios - these had REAL snow! |

Still in the US of A. From left to right: Raven in the Grand Canyon, Iconic Palm Trees in Hollywood, Church that I used to attend Sunday Mass in Madison, NJ. |
| OK, I didn't take this photo, but it's a very cool shot of my very cool mate Andrew Caetano (aka DJ Kitano). Engineer by day, Spinmaster by night. His obsession with all things Japan is legendary. Check out his grooves.

Does this look like a 'World Vision' photo to you? No, they are not my adopted children. Merely a tour of the shanty towns in the outskirts of Johannesburg (or Jo'burg as the locals call it) in South Africa. This town is called SOWETO - South West Township. There are apparently 5 million inhabitants who live in these shacks. What I find very interesting about this shot are the cheery faced kids juxtaposed against the backdrop of the slums. Amid all the poverty, there is still plenty of joy and hope in them. And if you're wondering, yes, of course I went with a tour guide. |
More to come. Stay Tuned....
