Now for some of my own stuff. This is a collection of some of the band art I've done. More coming soon...
DEMIGOD -  "Slumber of Sullen Eyes" (Drowned Productions)
This was my first album cover, I was super-proud of this. When I look at it now, I think I could've used darker colours and the anatomy and proportion are a bit off, but not too bad for my first. I've gotten a lot better since then. This was from around '91/'92. A few months after this was released, the band broke up, but they fortunately got back together shortly after.
BROKEN HOPE - "The Bowels of Repugnance"
(Metal Blade Records)
This was my second album cover. The proportion's still off, but the anatomy has improved. The colours could still be darker, although I like the blood. Unfortunately Metal Blade decided to cover up the extra-gory shot of the hanging guy's ripped-open chest and the faceless woman's hooters. Oh well, you can't have everything...
This was my next album cover for Broken Hope. Unfortunately, these were the only decent pics I could find. Not only did they muck it up by digitally squashing it down, they re-released both the first albums with this artwork on the right. Blaaaah...I would've put both covers on opposire sides of the booklet. Whatever.
NEKROMANTIK KURSE - "The Horns of Armageddon" Demo
This was a piece I collaborated on with Geoff Wheeler. I did the original pencil drawing, he airbrushed over it, and I did the inkwork over top of that. I think we make a pretty good team. I also did our logo as well. To find out more about NK, go to the Music Page.
DESTRUKTOR - "Brutal Devastation" "7
This is a section of the pen drawing I did for this Australian Black/Death/War Metal band. Cheers, Glenn! IN WARRRR!
BROKEN HOPE - "Swamped In Gore"
(Metal Blade Records)
GODLESS NORTH - "Summon The Age of Supremacy" (Breath of Night / Sombre Records)
This was a cover I did in 2001 for this Vancouver Black Metal band. Pretty killer Darkthrone / old Burzum-style BM. They do a wicked cover version of Burzum's "Dunkelheit".
The TORTURE ANIMALS - "Reservoir Frogs" (Independant)
Let it never be said I don't have a sense of humour. I did this for the "Drunk Rock"-guys of T.A. as part of a deal  on a loan from their drummer, Brant Rattray. He liked my stuff and was keen on seeing himself and his band drawn as frogs. It was their idea to parody the "Reservoir Dogs" movie poster. When I get a scanner, I'll throw in the reverse-side art I did as well.
Here's some artwork I did for a Death Metal band from Spain called AVULSED. The version on the left is from a split "12 with Greece's ACID DEATH, the version on the right, from their demo tape, "Deformed Beyond Belief". It was AVULSED's vocalist, Dave Rotten, who ran Drowned Productions and put out the first DEMIGOD album with my artwork on it. Cheers, Dave!
This was for another AVULSED release, "Carnivoracity". I titled the piece, "Pleasures of The Fleshless". I originally did this piece for a Drowned Sampler Compilation tape, but I guess they decided to use it for this instead. I wouldn't have minded had I been sent a copy, but in all fairness, I moved around a lot and was bad for staying in touch while Dave himself was extremely busy with the label and his band and all. Oh well, $#%* happens, I guess.
This little number was for the inner tray art for Dwell Records' "In Memory of Celtic Frost" Tribute CD. I really don't know where my head was with this one. In retrospect, I think I could've done this a whole helluva lot better, BUT what's done is done. I modeled the girl in it after the object of my affections at the time, so that doesn't help either. Ah well, like sands through the hourglass, so the stomach turns...or something.

EXCAVATION - "Psychotic Possession"
(Adipocere Records)
This is a 7" record cover I did for this Dutch band back in 1992. I really liked their first demo, "Gravemouth" a lot, so when they asked me to do this artwork, I was plenty happy to. Not bad, although my anatomy has greatly improved since those days. I was greatly inspired by CANNIBAL CORPSE's artist, Vincent Locke, when I did this piece.
