Getting
a Business Permit |
1. Interested individuals and enterprises may request from the LIB the necessary application form and a list of required supporting documents. The Board will act on each application "within 30 days upon receipt thereof."
2. Individuals and entities wanting to do business in Iloilo City with an initial capital of less than P200,000, or those whose business lines fall outside the coverage of Ordinance No. 280, may secure their business permits from the City Mayor's Office (CMO) through the following steps:
- Applicant fills up the application form provided by the Permits and License Division of the
CMO;
- Applicant secures from the same Division the computation of the business taxes/fees and others to be paid;
- Applicant secures a real property tax clearance from the City Assessor's Office;
- Applicant secures a Certificate of Zoning Compliance from the City Planning and Development Office;
- Applicant pays all assessments and licensing fees at the Business Permits Unit of the City Treasurer's Office;
- Applicant submits the application documents to the senior executive assistant of the CMO who will countersign the papers;
- Applicant submits the countersigned application/documents of the City Mayor for approval;
- Applicant receives his business permit.
