Nead some Training Tips?!

First, the basic rules of training.
When you are training, be sure to use a choke chain with 2" of pull, do not use a harnest. Take your dog out for about 15-20 minutes, one or two times a day, and 1 hour once a week. NEVER hit your dog, always train with correction, and not Discipline. This means no finger wagging either. If he does something wrong, a firm "NO" is enough, dogs hate being yelled at just as much as Children do.
Always treat your dog the same, as dogs do not understand mood changes. Be sure commands and procedures are consistant between handlers, and use commands such as "sit" instead of "sit down" or "down" insdead of "lie down". You may play with your dog before and after training, but not during. Never chase your dog if he runs away from you, or he will think it is a game, and never call your dog to you to scold him, or he will be frightend to come when called.
Be persistant when you are training, don't give up or the dog has won. If you have to leave it, take a break then get right back to it. Don't use food when you are training, it is inconsistant, and only works when the dog is hungry. It is best to feed your dog after training, but if you do it before, wait 2-3 hours before taking him out.
Each dog has it's own modivational level, DO NOT expect your dog to be trained in 2-3 weeks, it will take time, but as long as you stay patient, you will have your perfect pet!
