German Shephard Dog


The German Shepherd is a highly intelligent and versatile dog. Traditionally, the dog is a proud, powerfull creature. He stands at an average of 63cm (25in), with a body length slightly greater than his height. Coat lengths vary and colours include black, black and tan, and sable.
Police forces, armed services, drug officers and private protection agencies all over the world employ the German Shepherd. Yet his pleasant, loyal dispostion makes him a first-class household member.
Size: Large dog: 60-66cm (24-26in), 36.5kg (80.5lbs)
Bitch: 55-60cm (22-24in), 29.5kg (65lbs)
Grooming: Medium; he has a straight, close-lying coat that is naturally weather resistant.
Character Intelligant, and responsive, highly trainable
Pet Suitability: Needs an owner committed to early training. Good watchdog. Requires regular exercise.
