Anne ran the Jane Gray Shop dress shop with her sister Margaret in Waterloo. She also worked for Lincoln Office Supply and Covenant Hospital. She didn't marry until she was about 80 years old. She had been seeing Doc Lambert for a while and they decided to get married and moved to Des Moines and were going to do some traveling.
