Mrs. Mantz died at the Americana Nursing Home Friday, of complications of age. She had been a resident of the nursing home for 15 months. She was born March 27, 1893, in Parkersburg, the daughter of Thole and Sophia Nicklaus Cramer. She married Roy Mantz Oct. 28, 1915, in Parkersburg. They lived in Waterloo and operated a grocery store. She was a member of the First Congregational Church. He died Saturday at Americana Nursing Home of complications of age. He was born Aug. 9, 1888, in Grafton, Neb., the son of William and Ida McWilliams Mantz. He married Mary Cramer in Parkersburg in 1915 and moved to Waterloo where they owned and operated a grocery business. He retired in 1974. His wife died in March, 1976. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Waterloo and the Compass Chapter of Order of the Eastern Star No. 159 of Parkersburg. Parkersburg, Iowa Eclipse (front page) Wednesday, April 29, 1964 Obituary of Grace Kettwig Cramer Grace Kettwig Cramer, born October 28, 1889 in Butler County, Iowa, passed away Wednesday, April 22, 1964 at her home in Parkersburg, at the age of 74 years, 5 months and 26 days after a long illness and frequent trips to the hospital. She was united in marriage to Charles Cramer, December 7, 1910 and their married life was spent farming in Butler County. Mr. Cramer passed away in 1959. Other members of her family who preceded her in death were: an infant son, Robert Thole; four sisters, three brother and two grandchildren. She was a member of both the Ladies Guild and the Missionary Society of the First Congregational Church, Parkersburg. Cramer Died Saturday Was Buried Monday Afternoon; Leaves Husband, Daughter. Mrs. Henry Cramer died Saturday evening at her home after a several years illness. Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at two thirty at the Methodist church. Rev. C. Oliver Jensen of Greeley, former local pastor officiated, assisted by Rev. H.W. Artman. Interment was in Oak Hill cemetery. Florice Ione Church, daughter of F.E. and Lydia Church, was born at Denver, Iowa, April 5, 1903. She moved with her parents to Sinclair when a small child and attended the local high school, where she graduated in 1922. On February 22, 1924, she was married to Henry Cramer in Waterloo. One daughter was born to this union. Mrs. Cramer was a member of the Methodist church and during her long illness and in spite of her physical suffering she retained her interest in her church and the groups affiliated with it. For years she taught a Sunday school class and Epworth League groups and planned for the time when she would be well, and again able to teach the girls and boys she loved so well. Surviving are her husband, her twelve year old daughter, JoAnn, her parents, one brother, Rev. L.F. Church of Muscatine, one sister, Mrs. Paul Schaeffer of Allison, two nephews, Richard Schaeffer of Allison, Jason Church of Muscatine, two nieces, Nida Schaeffer of Allison and Beverly Jane Church of Muscatine. There are also a number of more distant relatives and a host of friends who will miss her pleasant smile and cheery greeting. Parkersburg, Iowa Eclipse Thursday, January 6, 1921 Death of Chas. Cramer's Baby The community was saddened last Tuesday to learn of the death of the infant son of Charles Cramer and wife. The little one had been very ill with pneumonia for several days and had been anxiously watched and cared for by loving family and friends. But in spite of all that human hands could do the little frame could not endure the ravages of the dread pneumonia, and the little life was called to the home of the infinite one on January 4, 1921. Thole Robert Cramer was born on December 1, 1919, being one year, one month, and four days old at the time of his death. He was a beautiful child, the pride and joy of his parents and of friends. He was taken with pneumonia from which he died in a few short days. The grief stricken parents and relatives have the sympathy of many friends who sorrow with them in the loss of their darling son. He was an exceptionally bright baby and a general favorite with everyone who knew him. The funeral services were held at the Congregational church this afternoon at 2 o'clock, conducted by Rev. Northrop, and attended by a large audience of sympathizing friends. The little form was laid to rest in Oak Hill cemetery.
