THE PASSION OF JESUS CHRIST
The Passion is the story of Jesus' arrest trial and suffering, and ends with the crucitixion
Starts with the events in the Garden of Gethsemane, although some start with the Last Supper, or even Palm Sunday.
The Passion is a story about injustrice, doubt, fear, pain, and ultimately, degarding death. Jesus suffered these for the forgiveness of our sins.
The perfect example of suffering, another is incarnation -the death of Jesus shows humanity, and that Jesus as God, was willing to undergo human suffering. Another is obedience-despite initial and very human reluctance and fear, He obeys His father.

Elements of the Passion
The agony in the Garden / and the arrest of Jesus
After the last supper Jesus took the disciples to the Garden of Gethsemane. He said to the disciples "Sit here while I pray." He took Peter, James, and John and walked farther away. He said to them "My soul is sorrowful even to death. Remain here and keep watch." Then He went off to pray. He said "Abba, Father, all things are possible to you. Take this cup from me, but not what I will but what you will." When he returned he found them asleep. He said to Peter, "Simon are you asleep? Could you not watch with me one hour? ...The spirit is willing but the spirit is weak." Again he prayed and upon returning a 3rd time he found them asleep. Waking them he said "The hour has come. Behold, the Son of Man is to be handed over to sinners Get up let us go.."
While he was speaking Judas accompanied by a crowd with swords. His betrayer, Judas, had arranged a signal for them. "The man I kiss will be the one." So walking up to Jesus, he kissed him. They laid hands on Jesus to arrest him. And someone took a sword a cut off the soldier's ear. Jesus said "Put your sword back in the sheath, for all who take the sword will perish by the sword. Then they took Jesus away.
