week we remember the last week of Jesus life.
WAY OF THE CROSS
Last words of Jesus
Father, forgive them; for they do not know what they are doing.

Truly, I tell you , today you will be with me in paradise.

Woman, here is your son...Here is your mother.

Eloi, Eloi, lema sabachthani? (My God, My God, why have you forsaken me?)

I am thristy.

It is finished

Father, into your hands I commend my spirit.
PALM SUNDAY
Commemorates Christ's trimphant arrival in Jerusalem. "The next day the great crowd had come for the feast heard that Jesus was on his way to Jerusalem, they took palm branches and went out to meet him, saying 'Hosanna!' 'Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord" "Blessed is the King of the Jews."
Clergy often use Palm Sunday to remind us about our commitment to their faith. Time of think about the times we have been unfaithful to Christ.
Church services, include palm branches are carried in processions. These same palms are used the next year, when burned for Ash Wednesday.
HOLY THURSDAY
GOOD FRIDAY
HOLY SATURDAY
Also known as "Maundy Thursday", the Thursday before Easter.
Remembered by Christians as the night of Jesus Last Supper, when He washed the feet of the apostles, and established the Eucharist.
But it's also the night when Jesus was betrayed by Judas.
The word Maundy comes from the command Jesus gave the apostles to love one another.
The washing of feet is called "Pedilavium" where the priest washes the feet of 12 people.
It is also the night when most churches bless the supply of annointing oil  to be used in ceremonies throughout the year.
Through a "Chrism" mass.
Commemorates Jesus' crucifixion.
the most important times in Christian faith  are the death and ressurection of Jesus Christ.
Jesus, being the Son of God, whose life and teachings are the foundation of faith.
Good Friday is a day of mourning in church.
The main service takes place between midday and 3pm.
The Easter vigil service is the 1st Easter service, and takes place on the night of Holy Saturday. (see EASTER for more info on vigil service)
Holy Saturday is a time for faithful Christians to wait and watch, hopeful and confident that Christ will return.
