Teddy Douglas
and Jay Steinhour are a record label, production team and DJ duo
based in Boltimore, U.S.A. They met in 1985 and began to record
tracks in Jay's small basement studio and that's how the label came
to life. They love to produce strong vocal music and have worked with
some of the industries best vocalists such as Ultra Nate and Crystal
Waters. Working along side them are producers DJ Spen and DJ Karizma.
The two men have worked together to create tracks like "Jasper

Masters at
Work Records
The two U.S.
based DJ producers behind this label (Little 'Louie' Vega and Kenny
'Dope' Gonzalis) are considered by most to be the kings of house
music. Over their ten year careers they have released a staggering
two thousand quality tracks. There Latin and hip hop based influences
have led them to produce a style of music that is second to non. They
hit the remix and production peak of their career in the mid nineties
with a string tracks, now known as classics. Some of there most
popular tracks include : "MAW ft India - I Can't Get No
Sleep", "MAW ft India - To Be In Love" and "River

Milk 'n' 2
Sugars Recordings
Milk 'n' 2
Sugars began life as a one-off club night at the The Chunnel Club in
London in March 1995. It was soon being hailed as the most exciting
new night in London. They then went on to create bigger and better
club nights at venues across the Britains capital including The
Cross, The Rocket, The Annex and The End in Covent Garden. The club
night has seen Roger Sanchez, DJ Sneak, Bob Sinclar, DJ Pierre and
Terry Hunter grace its turntables. In April 1999 they decided to put
a record label together to expand the musical ethic of the club.
Their first release was "David Elkabas - Things We Used to
Do". To date their releases have been few, but the label has
always stuck to its motto... Underground house at its best!

their own musical destinies, furthermore in a time when strategies
and marketing formulas dictate much of the music business, they
thrived with a burning ambition to maintain a high quality in all
avenues of their now prominent label-activities.

Rulin Records
Though Rulin
is not a massive contender in the label world at the moment, it is
showing great promise for the future. Set up by its bigger sister
company "Ministry of Sound Records", it seems to want to be
the credible face of the Ministry. It started life in the year 2000
with a track licensed from Basement Boys Records. The track itself
(Russell - Fool for love) was doing well in the clubs under a limited
release and showed good UK release potential. After its UK release on
Rulin it did well on sales and went on to establish the credibility
Rulin wanted and needed from UK DJ's and clubbers. Hit releases so
far include "Jakatta - American Dream" and "Sheena -
I'll Be Waiting".

Azuli Records
This label has
been going as long as we can remember. It was set up by the owners of
Black Market Records in London. Its vynal discography is huge and
holds many dance floor classics. Without this label, many British
DJ's record boxes would be half empty. Its first release came in the
form of "Chocolate Fudge (Mount Rushmore) - In A Fantasy. They
then followed it up with two more C.F. records. After this, the road
seemed clear for the massive reputation they have built over the years.

Subliminal Records
The mastermind
behind this new successful label is is U.S. DJ producer Eric 'More'
Morrilo. He dreamed of putting his own label together in the mid
nineties,he then went about paying for it by manufacturing the group
"Reel 2 Reel". After a string of hits Morrillo then got the
cash he needed to turn his dream into a reality. In 1998 he released
a string of club hits from the label using up and coming artistes.
There seemed to be no end to the amount of talent that was oozing
from Subliminal's studio.
Discography
Classics: Harry "Choo Choo" Romero - Just Can't Get Enough,
Ministers De La Funk - I Believe, Jose Nunez - Hold On, Da Mob - It's
All Good.
And still the
hits keep coming!

Suburban Records
Suburban goes
back to the early nineties (93,94) and is fronted by DJ, producer
"Tommy Musto". In our eyes he has been a underrated
champion of the house scene for many years. He has always stayed true
to himself and produced the finest quality house. Back in the early
nineties he teamed up with fellow DJ, producer "Victor
Siminelli" and formed the production remix team
"T.M.V.S". They went on to produce and remix a large number
of underground hits under a string of front names such as "Color
Blind" and "Federal Hill". As the label grew it began
to bring in new producers to help further its style of deep,
meaningful accessible vocal house. The mid nineties saw the talents
of "Jazz 'n' Groove" bring the label to new levels.
Releases on the label are few and far these days, but always of a
excellent quality.
