Author’s notes: the seed for this fic was planted when Shelly set a challenge (2 years ago, come this April) to write a fic with the following criteria: Write a one or two part post series finale fic, time frame being up to one year later. It can be anywhere from PG-13 to NC-17. The following must be included/mentioned in some shape or form: 1. Bessie (since I think she is a MAJOR D/Jer!) 2. THE snowglobe 3. Pacey crying 4. The porch scene from 602. AND FOR YOU BLUE ROOM WRITERS, I'M ADDING TWO MORE (LOL!): 5. Dawson's underwear 6. Sweaty skin.

Well I can tell you off the bat, I’m breaking the first rule by having this fic be way longer than one or two parts. There’s just too much fun to be had. After that challenge was posted I spent about 4 hours on AIM brainstorming this idea with Tine, it feels like maybe it was closer to 7 hours. This fic hasn’t been written sooner purely because I couldn’t bring myself to write any DJ fic for a while and I am slowly getting back into the game.

Time frame: post finale. Every detail of every show ever aired must be known; actually if you feel like forgetting a lot you can but know that the finale DID happen prior to this fic and believe me, this is more than likely the ONLY fic I write where that will be the case. I’d say this fic takes place 6-10 months after the finale aired. It’s gonna begin just before Joey’s 24th birthday, but who the hell knows when that even occured, she's like the Queen having TWO birthdays!
