Elf Candy Dish
We got the plans for this out of a home magazine I believe. After we made the elf for ourselves, I modified the base plan and made a snowman, and a Santa, which were given away as gifts.

This friendly snowman is made out of a piece of 1/4" plywood, and holds a chalkboard with the countdown to Christmas written on it. The idea came out of another one of those home-type magazine.

North Pole
Another result of a visit to a craft fair, and my big mouth. Once again, I commented on how easy it'd be to make that. Actually, I didn't lie, it was pretty easy to make (Just a landscape timber with a finial on top & some 1 x 4's for the signs.

This is my re-creation of a fireplace I saw at a craft fair somewhere. I took the general idea and ran with it, there is one stocking hung on it for each member of our family. I also took those silly little pictures you seem to get a million of whenever you get family portraits made and attached them to little frames, so our pictures are sitting on the mantle.

Flag Hanging
I made this for Christmas 2001 in light of the terrorist attacks of September 11. I was piddling around in the shop one day wondering what else I could give to my lovely wife, when I just started sketching on some paper. That's what I came up with. I just ripped some 2 x 8 I had left over from the wagon into 3/8" thick slats, and attached them to a 6 x 6 1/2 piece of 1 x stock.
