Registration, coffee,  exhibits, vendors; raffle & silent auction bidding begins.

Victoria Rowell

10:00

The day's program will open with an address from Victoria Rowell,  Emmy-nominated actress and star of daytime television's The Young and the Restless. Ms. Rowell was raised within the foster care system and has created a foundation to support youngsters in foster care, the Rowell Foster Children's Positive Plan. She is a beautiful reminder that a loving presence in one's life, even if not in "traditional form," can contribute to the foundation necessary for the launch into adulthood and the challenges of living. You may have seen Ms. Rowell with three of her five foster mothers on the cover of Essence Magazine, or on the Dr. Phil show in July.

While parents register and enjoy Ms. Rowell's address, children will make a  multi-cultural paper doll ring around the world, to be presented at the end of the day! This year's project promises to be as creative, thought-provoking, and delightful as last year's wonderful patchwork quilt of self-portraits!
