Welcome to the RPG Project

The characters at the bottom were made within the Palladium Fantasty RPG, written by Kevin Siembieda, Palladium Books. I haven't played Palladium in a while. Though it is a great universe to play in, it does have its limitations, that being mainly its someone elses brain child. I enjoy playing RPGs but the biggest dilemma i have always faced is that all this creative energy can be and is lost in attempting to constantly follow the rules of the game and exist in a world that isn't one from your own mind. Though rules and pre-ordained structures can be helpful its difficult to break from their constraints. RPG playing provides some incredible interactions between people's imaginations leading to some fabulous stories. Its this that i think is at the heart of good RPGing. Everyone that plays can tell a story or two of their exploits with their friends through foreign lands, imagination. So what we've come to is creating a way to better tap these creative elements.

We've decided to start a RPG Project, a combination of Role Playing with Creative Writing. The goal is to first develop your own character from the ground up and then role play with other people's characters who have done the same by mutually deciding on a starting scenario/location and then letting the story unfold from there. Through the process of both creating your character and then role playing a lot of material will be generated which then will be documented by logs of events and histories. The interaction of characters who come from possibly such conflicting arenas will serve as a catalyst for spontaneity and uniqueness that makes a great story. In the end we hope to have an Epic.

This is what we are embarking on. To see more fully what its about and to see a greater explanation of what were doing visit our project's webpage:
