Book of Song and Light - The Time of Ambeyance

The Awakening

On the morning of the great awakening the song arose beyond the everything that was. It started as a slight whisper caressing the all-ness into a silent wave of motion slowly carrying across the expanse. The wave of song creeped unto all making quiescent music, gradually increasing with each moment. The all-ness began to change forming into parts becoming being-ness. Each part began to vibrate wisping with the music into new wonders. As the being-ness grew and spread the parts began to glow as the light spewed out from their voice first up above then below then to both sides. Totuya, the song maker, smiled upon the parts abounding about him as they followed and pushed the music. Azuis, mother warmth, also smiled out upon her children giving them comfort as they shined out beyond. And so began the world as the being-ness formed into evermore parts spreading out into eternity. Colors flew out from the parts, sounds, smells, tastes, the being-ness flowed forth into all types of movement. Forms made, all ushering light, all following the great spirit within. So came rocks, earth, water, air then all manner of plants trees, bushes, vines, grasses, flowers then the animals insects, fish, lizards, dogs, bears, horses and infinitely more as the being-ness continually flows outward into greater parts. Then came the first woman-mankind becoming parts of their own from their brothers and sisters about them. Awakening woman and man were the first being-ness to look towards Totuya and Azuis and smile at their being. Thus began a new makers of song each with their own song but all shining light all about. At this Totuya and Azuis made their home in the sky raining their light upon all below and all smiled.

The Guides Song

The woman-mankind spread their songs into all manner of forms flowing within the one moving song. The world around them was formed into their voices making the arts. Glorious instruments, items, extensions of the song made by each woman-mankind and all smiled. So came the working of the land, of woods, and metals all through the song of them, bringing forth beautiful fruitage. Greater and greater parts were made under these new songs and so came into being the nothingness that was left in-between the ever increasing parts. The nothingness was minuscule at first but grew as the being-ness was spread throughout the expanse. Finally Totuya and Azuis could see this increasing darkness of nothingness encompassing their world pulling them too away from the world for a time. This darkness covering the world became night and Totuya and Azuis's return and walk across the sky, day. With night came fear for without the warming touch of light from above the world and all its parts begin to fear each other and themselves. So began all manner of hate and fighting becoming so grand as wars as woman-mankind began to fear each other. Beings began not spreading their light beyond the distance between them. Greed was created as woman-mankind pitted against each other hoping to loose fear by stealing others light and song, but never was fear escaped and so wars and fighting reaked havoc upon the entire globe.

But then came the great spirits returning to the world as the ones who knew the source of their light and song. They studied the arts Awakening Woman-mankind had made and again brought the songs of self to the world. The arts spread and flourished as never before springing from the great song and so were made in the night sky new shining beacons of those who had achieved the greatness of light and song thus shinning their light for all to follow and discover. These are the Guides. Thus the world was made balanced again with each passing day the day was warmed by the walk of Totuya and Azuis while the night was brightened by the great spirits of old guiding those in the arts giving light and song.

The Coming of the Shren, the false one

In the times after the coming of fear and the leading of the guides there came a new being into existence. This one saw the world about him and thought that it was flawed. He said to Totuya and Azuis as they walked 'why this separation and darkness? Can you not again rejoin all into light and song?' And Totuya and Azuis smiled down to Shren and said that they could not do such a thing. At this Shren mocked the two deciding in his mind that if they could not do it then he would for his light was strong and his song powerful. So he set out into the night sky to achieve the light and warmth at all times. But as he made this journey into the sky he found he could not gather enough light to get into the sky. At this he became furious for he thought that the others were cheating him because of his own jealousy. So he decided to sneak to them and take their light and using their path run and leap into the sky brightening the night. As he started this path however Shren's mind had become clouded with fear and greed and so he longer used his own light but stole from others. He went to each of the guides in the sky slowly making his way to day stealing more and more as he went. When dawn finally arose from the edge of the world so came Shren with his bundle of light tucked in his bag running to his last destination, the meeting of Totuya and Azuis to seize their great light thus allowing him to light all for eternity.

Totuya and Azuis came walking with the morning rising and they met Shren upon his path. Shren had a despicable smirk upon his face hiding his bag behind him. Totuya and Azuis smiled upon Shren and said 'what is that you wish for today mighty Shren?' Shren said 'you can do nothing that I can't do', and with that he ran towards them seizing their light and then running away with it to the leaping point into the sky. Totuya and Azuis called to him saying 'wait Shren you know not what you do, come back', but because of his now twisted mind he did not listen and instead ran on. He got to the pinnacle of the sky and lept off the edge to make ever light, but little did Shren understand of the world now and as he fell all the light slipped from him and sank again back into the earth and so a night like moment occurred in the middle of day. Shren fell and kept falling clear through the world and onto the other side. Totuya and Azuis seeing what happened had to change their path in the sky to again restore the light to the world of day, but with this change came a new problem. Now that Totuya had forged a new path in the sky they had to follow that same path always and so the world then began to see the changing path of Totuya in the sky with each day. Shren although dazed from his fall was filled with rage at his failure blaming all those of light, yet he still did contain substance and used this to push a new order onto the world.

During the night and sometimes during the day came a new globe in the sky not as brilliant as Totuya and Azuis but still powerful. But Shren found that the only light he could use was stolen light from Totuya and Azuis thus his was a false light. Also he was not able to constantly seize their light for they too moved so his stolen light came and went in the cycles of him catching Totuya and Azuis in their path. On rare occasions Shren becomes so crafty and quick in his chase that he is able to race into the day sky and block out the light of Totuya and Azuis, but this is never for long for Totuya and Azuis again bring the song and light and Shren is lost to his nothing-ness.

The Coldness arises

With Shren's greed and hate the world had suffered much change but even more was to be seen as greater time passed. Shren had created even more separation between all the parts of the world by drowning a portion of the light out. And so came a time when the world became cold and darker and Totuya and Azuis were forced from the sky on their new path only making a short walk during this cold time. Their warmth and song were scarcely heard and felt as their path became lower and shorter in the sky. The beings of the world began to fear this loss of light, thinking that Shren's corruptness was seizing control over their world. But after one final day, the shortest in the year, Totuya and Azuis again began to make their way back to their high place in the sky, giving light back to all things in the world. The world had begun to die under this coldness but with the return of such brilliant light came the world back into the abundance of life. The beings smiled at this new coming of the world. Thus the beginning of the cycle of the world from coldness-dark to warmth-light. Totuya and Azuis looked down upon what had happened and smiled. There was set upon the moment when Totuya and Azuis first began to again climb back into the sky a great celebration of the coming of warmth and light. It was so called the day of Totuya and Azuis Return. Also the day when Totuya and Azuis reached the highest point upon their path in the sky there was a great celebration held, woman-mankind circling their homes in praise of the wondrous light and song and regenerating their own. This was called the day of Regeneration. And so the world carried on through dark and light.

The Wanderers

At the time when Shren was falling from the sky and through the world the light he had in his bag began to spill out escaping from his control. Most of this light rained down to the earth in a glorious shower but other pieces were shot out in all directions gathering their light into brilliance and traveling the sky. Some pieces would stand still in the sky for a few brilliant moments while others would again fall to the earth in beautiful showers of light. This both brought wonders to the beings of the world for within the light was a special gift given to the world bringing it luck and joy. Good things happen after this light makes appearance in the sky for all to behold. It is the combining of warmth and light again removing the separation between the being-ness. These are the Wanderers, those glorious traversing light in the sky that give to the world hope of the return of wholeness. Someday all the Wanderers will again shower to the earth giving back all that was stolen and all will smile.

The Traveling Guides

As Shren was stealing light and climbing into the sky he did not only disrupt Totuya and Azuis's path but he also pushed some of the Guides out of there places. They were then forced to begin walking along the path left by Totuya and Azuis but were unable to find the exact path and thus are constantly searching to again obtain their place in the sky. And so they are continually plodding through the sky giving hope to other travelers of the arrival at their place of rest. At times some of the Traveling Guides become exhausted from their journey and loose their path circling about the sky. When we see such a event in the sky we must give hope and praise to these Guides for they lead us well and when lost they must be able to feel our light to gain their course again. The Traveling Guides trek across the sky in early evening and morning attempting to always again meet Totuya and Azuis to reach their home. As days go by they follow the paths before them until they disappear from the sky as they traverse the other side of the world. Again to rise in the morning just missing the path of Totuya and Azuis. There is another time too when they disappear from the sky as they traverse the day moving to evening. Totuya and Azuis help the Guides giving them warmth and comfort during this time, promising the day when they will again reach their homes and rest eternal. One day they will be restored to their places and as of now they are guides to all travelers giving them hope of return to home.

Asiyuth, the bright one

The leader of the Traveling Guides, Asiyuth, was at the time before Shren the greatest of all the Guides. He sat in the sacred direction of the above and led all the Guides through their teachings in the sky. He was the constant host for all beings to look towards and find their ways in the understanding of arts. But as Shren was making his way stealing light through the sky Asiyuth saw what was happening and wished to stop him. So he stood out in guard of his light and song and all those about him. But Shren was treacherous in his dealings and while impersonating the voice of Totuya called to Asiyuth calling him to the edge of the sky. Asiyuth ran to the voice not knowing the trick being played on him. When he could not find Totuya he stepped out on the edge to gaze out over the world in search of him. At this Shren leaped out pushing Asiyuth over the edge of the sky and so he fell through the world and into an unknown land. So began his wandering. He found in the unknown land other Guides who had fallen to Shren's treachery and gathering them all, he led them again to the morning to meet Totuya and Azuis. He now continues to lead them to the moment when they will again be restored. Asiyuth's never ceasing light carries on in his brightness, giving hope to all those who see him. Asiyuth's son, Buios, took lead of the Guides after his father's departure and waits with much hope for his father's return to his rightful place.
