the obliged introduction -
distant star is a 3 part trilogy focusing on sailor centauri - senshi of the distant star alpha centauri. Time wise it takes place after sailor stars, but in the year 2000 (the first story anyway). each story takes place in a differnt city or state. 'the beginning' takes place in delaware, usa, 'coming together' takes place in tokyo, japan, and 'the final battle' takes place in delaware, tokyo and washington d.c.
i tried to stay as close to the original plot of sailor moon as possible while doing this story and i think it turned out pretty good. of course there is no sailor centauri in sailor moon and urauns and neptune never raised anyone except saturn... but you gotta give me a little bit to work with!
a summary of all 3 stories -
sailor centauri is a 15 year old sophomore named koby simmons who attends an elite private school in delaware. her life revolves around her challenging courses in school and playing on the soccer team. for the most part, koby thinks her life is blissfully uneventful. then one day she meets two familiar looking strangers who reveal to her the truth of her past life and her mission in her present life to help the other sailor senshi defeat what threatens to be their hardest challenge yet. in the years that follow, koby trains as a sailor senshi and faces her first battles (sophomore year - the beginning), becomes an exchange student, meets the other senshi, and helps defend against the first wave of attackers (junior year - coming together), and finally faces off against the largest and strongest army - alone (senior year - the final battle).
