Children are a gift from God and should be cherrished, and loved, not harmed.
Parents should have an unconditional love for their children and protect them.
Children are born innocent, it's what we teach them that changes their future. Doctors have to take an oath before getting their license, so do other professions. You give oath when you get married, so why shouldn't a parent have to.
From this day forward here is my oath as a parent to my two sons:
1. I promise to protect you from others harming you, and I won't bring no harm to you myself.
2. I promise to give you unconditional love no matter what you might do.
3. I promise to tell you everyday that you are special, and show you kindness and love.
4. I promise to teach you from right and wrong, so you can have a brighter future.
5. I promise you that I won't take your innocence away from you.
6. I promise not to call you any bad names, only names of love and praises.
7. I promise to shower you with lots of love, praises, hugs and kisses.
8. I promise to never curse you out.
9. I promise to never show favorites of one over the other, but treat you equal.
These are just a few of the things that I promise as a parent to my children.
