I've had many friends throughout my life. Some have stuck around and others have gone off and never heard from again. Each of my friends have touched me in a different way in my life. Some have brought me many years of joy, laughter, talks, hugs, kisses, and shared tears. Others have brought me nothing but pain and sorrow. Those that have brought me nothing but pain and sorrow are no longer around, which is a good thing. Just don't understand how some people can hurt others, then walk away as if nothing ever happened. The friends I have now I have known for some 5 years on up to 35 years. From time to time we lose contact with each other, but we always manage to find our way back.
I don't have just one best friend, I have several best friends. Each of them are special in their own way. My best friends are there for me whenever I need an ear to bend or a shoulder to cry on. They will always be there for me no matter how busy they are. That's why they are the best. There are a few of my friends I can tell you funny stories about on how we met.
I have a few online friends who have become very special to me. A few I have met in person and others we have chatted online. I've even shared a few long distance calls with some and even text messages with others. Even though some I have not met in person, they still hold a special place in my heart. They have helped me through some bumpy roads I've had in my life and even give some great advice. My online friends have become like a second family to me and I wouldn't trade them for anything.
There is one friend of mine I grew up with that I have lost track of. Her name is Cathy O'Bright. The last time I saw her, she and her mom was living in Lake Geneva, WI. If anyone knows her or has infor on how I can get back in contact with her, please send me an email. She's been on my mind a lot lately and would love to get back in contact with my dear friend. She was like a sister to me. |
