In the past, traditional photography was the best, and only way of recording an image. Today, digital photography has become more popular, and in some cases it has begun to replace traditional photography. Even things such as x-ray machines use digital technology nowadays.

The battle of these two types of photography has created controversy with photographers all around the globe. Those who were raised traditionally, taking film photos, sometimes believe that only film photography is truly art. On the other hand, digital photographers feel that digital is so easy, that why bother using film?

These two types of photography are very different, and therefore one is not necessarily better than the other. The photographer's choice of whether to use digital or film photography depends on their skill level and their intended use of the photograph.
