About Me

My name is Diana L. Sammis and I am a graduate student in the Mount Saint Mary College Elementary Education program. Recently I took a course called General Methods of Instruction.  Although very challenging, I have learned much about the art of teaching and also about myself.  Through fieldwork, I learned that I much prefer to be in the classroom than in lecture.
I currently work at River Haven Youth Shelter and I have worked there for seven years.  I also work part time as a respite worker with a young girl of three years who is considered a high needs student.
My main goal is to become a teacher certified as both a elemtary school teacher and special education educator.
This is my efolio. Welcome!! As you tour the site, I hope you enjoy all of the things I have compiled and get a feel for teaching and how General Methods helped me get from point A to B throughout the semester.
