Micro-Teaching

Introduction
For Professor Smirnovas class, presentations were made every week for about a month straight.  These presentations encompassed topics from each type of instructional method.  Groups were usually made up of 4-6 individuals from our class.  They gave us a very thorough overview of each subtopic under each instructional method.

Description
Group members would generally begin their presentations with an introduction of themselves and their very special group names.  After the introduction, each student would present a different part of the presentation which might include a power point presentation of an outline of the topic being discussed.  To conclude each presentation, the class would be become guinea pigs and be shown the strategies by participating in an activity.

Reflection
Wow.  Group presentations were very stressful.  My schedule is absolutely insane.  To try and coordinate that with 4-5 other people was near impossible.  This made for a very fly-by-the-seat-of-my-pants approach to presentation preparation.  Also there was one instance when no one really knew who was in their group and this caused even more chaos.  I think this affected the quality of some of the presentations.  Maybe I should not make that a blanket statement and say that it affected my performance and lowered my confidence because I did not feel prepared.
