E-8C JSTARS superimposed over the flightline here at Robins AFB, GA.  I work in the middle hanger in the background.  It's a different pace from the flightline, and I have learned a lot.  CLICK HERE to visit my Crew chief page dedicated to my fellow chiefs & maintainers!
About Me

I like to read and listen to music.  When I get some free time (which is almost never) I like working on this, our family's web site.

I work as a crew chief at the 116MXS in the Isochronal Docks for the E-8C JSTARS  I work dayshift on a 4-3 schedule; T-F 10 hour shifts and OFF Sat-Mon.  It's a pretty sweet deal.  We have to pull weekend duty every so often, but I can't complain.

Education: I have my 2 year degree from the Community College of the Air Force (CCAF) in Aerospace Maintenance technology, but I'm still pursuing my BS in Industrial Technology (IT) from Southern Illinois University.  I still need the same  hand full of classes I've needed for a while now.  I'd like to start school again after I test for promotion.

Music: I really dig Rythm and Blues and I want to make this a tribute page to some of my favorites like Muddy Waters, Louis Jordan, Cab Caloway, John Lee Hooker, Eric Clapton, and BB King. You can check out samples of their music on line at columbia house.com.  Just search by the artist's name. It is much more interesting to experience the blues rather read about it!! I like lots of different kinds of music, except Country and Western.. :-(YUCK!! Don't get me wrong, I'm not down on anyone's music. If YOU like it, knock yourself out and I'll make fun of you later :-)!!)

Some of my other favorite artists/bands are: Led Zepplin, AC/DC, ZZ Top, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Limp Biscuit, and Puddle of Mudd

Favorite movies:  "The Blues Brothers," "Running Scared," "Star Wars," "Gladiator," "American Beauty," "Austin Powers..."

Favorite TV Show: "CSI," "The Sopranos," Fox News Network

Favorite color: BLUE

Astrological sign: Leo

Above: Muddy Waters began recording in 1941 in the South, "The Land Where the Blues Began." He migrated to Chicago in 1946 only to return to the South until 1947 when he made the move for good. Muddy is widely regarded as "the patriarch of Chicago blues and its most influential practitioner" until his death in 1968. (Mary Katherine Aldin April 4th 2000, (Muddy's 85th Birthday) Muddy Waters rollin' stone, the golden anniversary collection CD insert.)

Some of my favorite Muddy Water's tunes are "Honey Bee," "Long Distance Call," "Kind Hearted Women," and "Mean Disposition."
Louis Jordan was born in 1908 in Brinkley Arkansas. He moved to New York during the 1930's and dominated the R&B charts between 1943 and 1950. In 1946 alone he scored 6 number one hits! In the early 1950's his fame dimished as Rock N Roll's popularity skyrocketed. His music remains as a tribute to the era of prohibition, and "Jump and Jive." Louis Jordan did in 1975.
Some of my personal Louis Jordan favorites are "Let the Good Times Roll," "Buzz Me Blues," "Don't Let the Sun Catch You Cryin'" and "Saturday Night Fish Fry."
John Lee Hooker was born in 1920 in Clarksdale Missippi. In the 1930's he moved north to Memphis Tennessee, then Cincinatti, and finally landed in Detroit. He is one of the most influential blues artists influencing Muddy Waters, Buddy Guy, and rockers like Elvis Presley, The Rolling Stones, Steve Miller, and Cream.

Some songs are really like are "Boom Boom," "Boogie Chillun," Dirty Ground Hog Blues," and "It serves Me Right to Suffer."
Dude! It's BB and Eric!! Need I say more!! This picture is from their 2000 colaboration album "Riding with the King." Eric Clapton's 2 CD "Blues" set is really awesome. BB King's "Greatest Hits" and "Blues on the Bayou" are two "musts" for your collection!
BB King was born In 1925 in the backwaters of the Missippi Delta. He moved to Memphis in 1946 where his recording carreer began. Even as Rock-n-Roll's popularity grew in the '50's and soul in the 60's BB King remained true to his roots, and the blues.
