STUDENT RULES

Hours:  7:15 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. -- Monday - Friday

Library books that are not on reserve may be checked out for two weeks.  A fine of $0.05 per day will be charged for each day a book is kept overdue.  Students who do
not clear their fines within two weeks will be placed on afternoon detention for three
days.  Students can not check out if they have an unclear library record.

High school students may check out books from libraries on both campuses.

Reserve books are housed behind the circulation desk and may be checked out for use
in the library and for overnight.  If checked out for overnight, books must be checked
out when the student leaves school, and returned before first period the next morning.
A fine of $ .50 per day will be charged for each day a reserve book is kept overdue.

detention for three days.

Reference books, which are marked “R” on the spine, are found behind the desk and
in the Reference Section.  These books may be used in the library or checked out
overnight.  A fine of $ .50 per day will be charged for each day a reference book is
kept overdue.  Students who do not clear their fines within two weeks will be placed
on afternoon detention for three days.

Periodicals cannot be taken from the library.

A student must pay the current publisher’s price for a lost or damaged book.

A student is required by state law to replace or reimburse for replacement all
damaged or destroyed property.

A student may use audio-visual materials within the library with permission from the
librarian.  Audio-visual materials cannot be checked out by students.

Conduct not conducive for study will be prohibited.

Computers are provided for word processing and Internet for the students.  A
student must pay $ .20 per black/white  and $ .25 per color page for printing. Blank
diskettes may be purchased for $1.00.

Software may be checked out for use in the library only.

The Internet policy of WPSD states that the Internet can be used only for educational
purposes.

A student will not be allowed to play games on any of the computers, participate in chat
rooms or view objectionable materials.
