The Long Wave Center Project Mission

The mission of these pages is to present the basic materials relating to the Long Wave of Economics as described by Nikolai Kondratieff, several predecessors and contemporaries, and some who followed.

In order to establish some order, and in accordance with our own views, the "orthodox" or historically decribed wave sequence and timing will be presented in introductory educational sections and for position papers by the editorial staff.

This policy does not mean that those positions are "house dogma". Indeed, going forward, other concepts and opinons on the Long Wave will be sought out and presented. We intend to establish a tiered thread which will look in depth at all aspects of the Long Wave from the question of whether it in fact exists to statistical analyses and possible "drivers". We expect this to be our most useful endeavor.

Many of those most interested in the Long Wave have been market analysts, policy makers, businessmen, investors, and traders. For this reason we expect to devote a great deal of time and effort to the practical uses of the Kondratieff Long Wave in the business and financial arena.

Eventually we plan to have dedicated sub-lists available for the various sectors of Long Wave interest groups. But even before this, we look forward to suggestions and contributions from our readers. At this time such communications may be made via email.
