Creation Theories
Once long ago, before people roamed Mother Earth, there was only the utter stillness of darkness. Then came a sound, and with the sound a light, but the light grew stronger, darkness retreated in fear. Something miraculous happened next, the light split into two and became two distinct entities, separate, yet one. One entity took the form of a man crowned with the antlers of a mighty stag. The other, a woman who shown with the radiance of a full Moon on a cloudless night. These are they who Witches call the Lord and Lady, God and Goddess, They are known by many names yet, they are one in the same.
Then the Goddess went to darkness and declared and in doing so absorbed it into her, creating the Universal womb, thus allowing the people of the World a chance of re-birth. On seeing the Lady do this deed, Love was woken in the heart of the Lord and they joined together in love. Both climaxing together in a great shower of ecstasy, creating the physical Universe and all of it. The stars are the seed of the Lord, fertilising the womb of the mother, so as these word are written, new worlds of life and new worlds and life are ever being brought forth in a continuous cycle of life, death, and re-birth. In order for something to be born, something must die. This is a universal law that cannot be changed. There is no need to fear death, it is mearly a doorway to the universal womb to await rebirth, a chance for rest following lifes often hard journey through the material world.
Next the Lord and Lady set the order of the Seasons and declared eight festivals be observed to mark their turning, for the year is like a wheel rolling down the road, constantly flowing one after another. First comes Samhain the feast of the dead, next is Yule to celebrate the birth of the young Lord, followed by Imbolc the first signs of spring, next is Ostara when day and night are equal, Beltane is next to celebrate life, love and the warm days of Summer, Litha follows to celebrate the high days of Summer and the Summer King's ascendancy, Lammas first of the harvest festivals, and finally comes Mabon the second of the harvest fairs. The Lord then decreed the time of the full Moon to honor the Lady, Life, Love and Magick.
As the God and Goddess created the year, so they also created night and day. They declared that the Sun should rule the day, physical labor and all souls. The Moon should rule the night, magick, and emotions. There is nothing to fear in the night, children, for it is a nesacary opposite to the day, revel in her beauty and mystery.
Looking at their creation they saw how beautiful it was. For the Earth is indeed Beautiful, a jewel in the blackness of the universal womb. They created all manor of animals to place on the Earth Mother including Man and Woman. Next they decreed they should be stewards of their new creation. In order for man and woman to carry out the task in harmony each with the other, they taught them Magick.
Author Unknown(to me anyway)
In the beginning there was unknowable silence. She had an unknowable name which echoed through the universe, the power of this name that no one shall utter, filled the Universe with action.
Silence broke into it's components, lights and shadows. From these lights action made form, and from the shadows, formlessness. Visible and invisible, she created a blend of the two we know today as Nature.
In this blend of form and formlessness, light and shadows, visible and invisible, she created all the creatures, making infinite variations of herself as the birthing force, and the different form of her where she is not so clearly visible, the birthed-in form.
She intermingled with herself as she was never divided, and created our Solar System, our mother planet, and all creatures upon it. Among the creatures she ordained, all species will know her either through instinct or through search, but all she created will periodically return to her holiness, and then again take form inside her.
Ever since, the world has had a blend of visible forms, male and female, and a blend of invisible forms, self love, and self hate. The divine mixing of these creates reality, for her essence is present in all, but her forms do not conform to temporary social orders. She is the circle of re-birth, thus we celebrate the moment in our lives as we honor to her, she whose Genesis is still happening, she who has not returned to any comfortable heaven to watch over us or forget us. She who still creates all reality daily, she who is visible and invisible in nature, she whose name is secret, she who rules the universe, the force of life and death, and all that is between, She is All.

Before Time Was
Before time was, there was The One; The One was all, and all was The One. And the vast expanse known as the universe was The One, All-pervading, all-powerful, eternally changing. And the space moved. The One molded energy into twin forms, Equal but opposite, Fashioning the Goddess and God From the One and of The One. The Goddess and God stretched and gave thanks to The One, but darkness surrounded them. They were alone, solitary save The One. So they formed energy into gasses and gasses into suns and planets and moons; They sprinkled the universe with whirling globes and so all was given shape by the hands of the Goddess and God. Light arose and the sky was illuminated by a billion suns. And the Goddess and God, satisfied by their works, Rejoiced and loved, and were one. From their union sprang the seeds of all life, And of the human race, so that we might achieve incarnation upon the Earth. The Goddess chose the Moon as Her symbol, And the God the Sun as His symbol, to remind the inhabitants of Earth of their fashioners. All are born, live, die, and are reborn beneath the Sun and Moon; all things come to pass thereunder, and all occurs with the blessings of The One, As has been the way of existence Before Time Was.
