May 7th, 2001, I woke up singing OPM's Heaven is A Halfpipe. My my my.. that's a very decent song. it makes me happy. like prozac. hehe. Have you ever listened to the words though? I mean, I think they made the song JUST to say... If Heaven is REALLY a heaven, then it wouldn't have walls or prerequisites. It would just take you as you are, with no human preconceptions of you. End of story.. the reason I say this is because.. read these lyrics Now when most people think of heaven they see those pearly gates but I looked a little closer and there's a sign that says do not skate. So, if you wanna come to my heaven, where we're all gonna have a ball and everyone you know is welcome 'cause we've got no gates or walls.. Singing if I die before I wake at least in Heaven I can skate cause right now On earth I can't do shit without the man fucking with it... See what I'm saying? Decent lyrics, if you take it as something more than literal. Now, I'm not saying it's deep or whatever, but it does start up a conversation or two, wouldn't you think? I mean... if God WAS all knowing and nice and forgiving, why would he have gates or walls? He wouldn't. I believe that would be just mankind's imagination.. same as streets of gold. Everything the bible and Jesus preached was to NOT covet riches and to love... not exclude and segregate and become rich while saying "NAH NAH.. I'm GODLY" to those who have lost their way. You're supposed to be generous, long suffering and loving. Anyway.. I believe you can get what I'm saying. And I'm not even a religious person. I believe there is a higher power, but I'm not sure exactly what it is. But, I'm guessing, I think that's where faith comes in. I'm not going to rule OUT that there is a God.. but I don't know, the thought of one perfect being controlling and knowing everything isn't exactly believable. I think everything that is happening is nothing more than an experiment with no ending... but.. I don't know... how do you explain de ja vu and all that jazz then, eh? *shakes head* I don't know dammit.. do I look omnipotent? Lemme go pray to the porcelain God now.. I'm out.
May 8th, 2001, Alrightie then.. yesterday's little freek was brought to you by Wipes-A-Lot You Get A Lot with Wipes-A-Lot and... two strikes, three balls in the seventh inning and Dezy is up to bat.. She looks tense, here Bob.. and I don't believe I've ever seen her in a situation such as this before.. Have you, Harry? No, Bob, I've never seen her look so RUTHLESS either. She's actually.. yes yes.. she's actually GRINDING her teeth.. you can see the plumes of dust coming out of her mouth.. yes yes.. you certainly can, and you KNOW that's got to be unnerving for the pitcher.. Watch him, he's figetting and looking about nervously. haha.. but can you BLAME him, Harry? OH.. and here's the pitch.. And oh my GOD.. She's out!

May 11th, 2001, Since this is the closest to Mother's Day that this thoughts page is going to get this year, I thought I'd like to say something about mothers, at least, my mom. Yes yes yes.. ME speaking about mothers. Funny, eh? My mom is.. unique. She's special. She's loud, obnoxious, foul, perverted, but she's quiet, brilliant, sweet, and godly. I'm not really sure HOW to describe her. She would stand up for a gnat, and protect a lion, but at the same time slaughter a lamb if someone needed it. She roots for the underdog. She shares everything, information, shelter, food. If she could, I'm sure she'd have raised the world, and I'm not sure that would have been a bad thing. My father and her have been married for 22 years. 21 of which I've been a intricial part of, and they have never regretted having me there. I was never abused, denied, or mistreated in any way and I was given the world if only I'd work for it. She encouraged me with everything I wanted to do, helped me when I really needed it, without bragging or expecting a repayment for what she did. I love my mom, and I'm proud of her and proud to say that I'm her daughter. She frustrates the hell out of me and brings me to giggles in the next second. I think all I have to say is that if I become a mother like my own, the world will be a better place. and I'm out!
