Catriona Danielle MacKinnon is a 21-year old woman. She has vibrant red hair, and usually dresses very tastefully. Most people will call her Trina. She has 'the Sight,' but cannot rely on it. She does have visions in times of crisis, but Trina's always hated that she never receives her vision in time to prevent the event from occuring.

The first eighteen years of her life were very happy. She lived a very sheltered life. At 18, that all changed. Trina was walking along the pond in her family's back yard when she had a vision so intense she nearly blacked out. Her family was in danger. She returned to the house as quickly as she could. Near the back door, she found the bodies of her brothers, William and Angus. She went into the house, trying to find her parents, and entered their room in time to see her uncle slit her father's throat. Trina could see that her mother was already dead. Realizing that her life was in danger, she left the room quickly and unseen and hid. She heard her uncle calling to the others who had invaded her home to "find the red-headed witch."

Apparently neighbors called the police. Trina remained hidden until she heard the police investigating the house, then she risked coming out of her safe space. As soon as she relayed her tale, she was taken into protective custody, where she remained for the two years it took for the case to go to trial. She was the main witness.

Despite her eye witness testimony, Trina's uncle was found not guilty because he had the money and power to buy the right people. She never really understood why her uncle had killed her family.

Catriona is not Trina's real name. She was born Morrigan Marguerite MacGivern. Catriona MacKinnon is the identity she was given when she entered the witness protection program. She left Scotland and came to the United States because of the press coverage of the trial in her native country.

Now on her own for the first time in three years, and still mourning her family, she will meet with Drew Standish on a flight.

Trina is very much a reserved person, though she can let loose. She is an excellent cook who loves almost any food, except Mexican and Thai. She's independently wealthy, having managed to secure her inheritance and place it where she can access it. As she doesn't have to earn money, she will volunteer at a local school as a teaching assistant. She loves children, and desperately wants a family of her own.
