Homeschool Day Hosts

UGA College of Veterinary Medicine
April 16, 2004.
Our emphasis is on veterinary medicine as an exciting and rewarding career. There will be many demonstrations and tours showing the diverse career choices from which graduates in veterinary medicine may choose. Other OPEN HOUSE activities should appeal to a wide range of interests including exotic animal displays, a variety of working dogs, horse shoeing, sheep shearing, endoscopy, a petting zoo, and much more. We also have a fun dog show and the famous "Doggie Dash", a no-profit fun walk/run with your pet for charity.  Guided tours of the College facilities will be available throughout the day. These tours will feature the large and small animal hospital, classrooms, and teaching laboratories. Interesting scientific exhibits and demonstrations will focus on topics such as the life of a student in veterinary school, computers in veterinary medicine, animal behavior, equine reproduction, and herd health, to name a few.
Admission is FREE and OPEN TO THE PUBLIC! Last year we had over 2000 attend. We look forward to seeing you.  For further information, call (706) 542-7785.
