Continuation/By Laws In an attempt to simplify the business portions of our meetings, to help to keep things on an informal level. We would like to suggest the rescinding of our present Continuation and By Laws, at least for the time being. And replace them with Standing Rules. Being that we are a small club and not affiliated with any other clubs or associations, our present C/B, seems to be a bit formal and very difficult for us to adhere to. We would of course keep them on file for use in the future. No decision will or can be made today (3/30/09). We would like you all to reread the C/B; you should all have a copy. We will e-mail, or for those who do not have e-mail we will snail mail a copy of the proposed �Standing Rules� ASAP. Please read them before the April meeting and make any changes you think are needed. At the April meeting we will ask for a motion to open discussion about the change. We will then open for discussion and changes. Before the May meeting the revised �Standing Rules� will be typed and e-mailed to the membership. There will be a copy for all to read 15 minutes before the start of the meeting. A vote will then be taken to accept as written. |

Change in Dues
At the February 23, 2009 meeting a vote was taken and passed to raise the GVFHG annual dues from $5.00 to $10.00. There will no longer be a $1.00 per meeting charge. A donation to The Big Spring Museum will now be paid through the GVFHG treasury, when meetings are held there. |

GVFHG Aprons
Don't foget your aprons.They will make nice hostess gifts for all those holiday parties coming up.They are available from any GVFHG member or at the GCV&M break-room for $11.00 (ea). |

GVFHG Tote Bags The tote bags are still available for purchase. They are made of lightweight canvas with reinforced handles and measure approximately 15�x 15 1/2� The GVFHG logo and name is printed in black. The price is $8.00 (ea.) with all profits going to the GVFHG treasury. They are available from Treasurer, Jackie Ridley (585-494-1652). |

The Food Files is a collection of individual food subjects that have been researched in-depth by a GVFHG member or guest speaker. They are available for research use only. They can be used at GVFHG meetings or by special arrangement made with Marie Schultz (585-682-4365).
