Writing Styles

Writing is usually
divided into three styles that defines function. They
are:
- Creative Writing
- Journalistic
Writing, and
- Professional
Writing.
Creative writing is a
process of creating art. It fires the imagination to
arouse images of times, places and peoples. Some of
these times, places and peoples do not exist except
in the mind of the author. He or she uses words to
incite our imaginations to make wizards conjure,
horses fly, or heroes larger than life.
Journalistic writing
is life if creative writing is art. Journalistic
writing conveys, in a concise manner, what is
happening at the moment. It transmits information
quickly from the most important occurrence in a set
of facts to the least important occurrence.
Journalistic writing is applicable to print and
broadcast media.
Professional writing
is most notably performed in connection with
technical papers, business plans, and even web
design. It conveys factual information with its
background research and support documentation.
